Ad. Analysis F/bk

Some feedback for you on your Ad. analysis:   Process-related observations As  ever – please check your work:  in some cases the name of the brand or product was incorrectly spelled three or four times.  Proofreading should be second nature to you now!  DO use GRAMMARLY!!! Adjectives do NOT agree with male or female or in the plural Titles: we capaitalise all the long words not just the first as you tend to do in French (eg. Research and Development Manager) Paragraphing – I keep saying it: pargraphs have beginnings, middles and ends/transitions…. then LEAVE A LINE of SPACE (2 x ‘Return’ keystrokes) to denote it clearly. Try justification on BOTH margins – it looks cleaner. Expression not...

CENPROFDOC 1819 Fake News

Your Thinkpieces:   Team:  Ketterer et al? Fake news, how to track them, find them, kill them and not create more of them. Step 1 : Define Fake News Fake news is an output of human nature (and has always been so) which produces problems in the perception and interpretation of information because such information has been subtly ‘manipulated’ and distanced from the truth. It has been particularly in evidence since the run up to the Trump election. The problem is exacerbated by the growth of social media and ICT by which people may be easily encouraged to believe and act upon information which is deliberately intended to mislead and exert influence upon the reader to the calculated...

Protégé : Fake News 2017 defn.

Our first Q was to define ‘fake news’ in our own words so that we could make a group definition covering not just the WHAT, but also the when, where, why, who and how…   Based mostly upon your thoughts, I have produced this definition: Fake News Fake News is a term that represents the output of a deliberate attempt to manipulate and mislead people who are capable of believing it and by so doing derive a sought for benefit.  It is never innocent, but rather calculated and intentional. A message of disinformation is developed and designed to deceive and encoded & transmitted (in the form of web pages, TV appearances/coverage, social network content, Tweets etc) then received...

Protégé : M2 Digital Literacy Defn....

DRAFT MASTER DEFINITION (Created by M2 students without reference to any online or textual sources) M2 students invite and challenge others to review their definition in comparison to those advanced by various universities and authoritative sources (shown below their Master Definition).  They believe (rightly in my view!), that theirs is superior as it addresses not only the ‘What’, but the Why, When, Where, Who and How. Digital Literacy represents: intellectual, physical and material capacities to understand and use technologies to access intangible culture (written materials, music, film etc) via digital tools (PCs smart-phones, e-books etc),  and benefit from this basic digital  knowledge which everyone needs to know in order to make sense of and take advantage of the digital world.  This involves...
