Personal Profile

Imagine you have just arrived in your first full-time job after graduation: with the employer of your choice, in the post you very much hope you will secure.

On Day One, your new boss asks you to prepare, in English, a one (full) page, word-procedssed, Professional and Personal profile by which you are able to introduce yourself to your colleagues.  This is to go either on the company’s website (or intranet) on in its in-house magazine.

NOW, TO DO:

Write (i.e. produce on word processor and print out for me – handwritten copies not accepted) this Personal /professional profile as instructed above.  1 x Page A4 word processed.  DO remember to change the language in Word to English – that way you do get some grammar and spelling support….   DO NOT be tempted to copy someone else’s online profile or to use a translation tool: they are useless and easy to spot.

Suggestions.

  • You may ‘imagineer’ (Imagination + engineering … originally a Disney term) qualifications and a previous history should you so wish but you may find the truth easier to write.
  • Dates and events alone can be monumentally boring and antiseptic – you may want to try to add a little ‘colour’… interest, humour etc from your personal life.

Submission date: : to hand in to me, (in printed hard copy as prescribed) in class the week after the task is set.
