If the EMDA post paraphernalia were not enough, here are some more Job Descriptions and Person Specifications:
Bournemouth University: Assistant Researcher
Although you may not be interested in the post as it is not Tourism related, it shows quite clearly how even at the level of first post-Masters jobs, employers (yes, even universities!) are using Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.
Here is another BU post, for a Lecturer in Tourism Development and Impacts (link created 27.09.09… NB. may be withdrawn once the post is filled). Once again there are both JD and PS….
Good practice also to look at TravelMole (as I have said in the past….. have you registered yet? I hope you all have). The site hosts travel jobs (particularly those which are UK or Ireland based), so do have a look at their CareerZone. Currently there are jobs with limited descriptions but with the opportunity to apply direct online via the Travelmole site.
And while I am on the subject of ‘TMole’, I found on their website a 6 minute video clip of discussion of inhibitors to take up of Sustainability where, would you believe, the speaker is using low-energy lightbulbs as a case study in the way I did last week!.
