The figures that are provided actually MEAN something…. and you have to work out quite what by analysis.  Even if you have not done any financial analysis classes you can STILL do some ANALYSIS!  Imagine it is YOUR money invested here and you are trying to work out where your money is best employed and where you can generate the best return possible.  You would be comparing:

• division with division
• product with product
• this year – v – last year’s performance
• profit in relation to turnover and assets employed.

Don’t get lost or give up, but rather FIGHT the figures – work it out slowly and surely….
